“Mr. MOSKOWITZ. Mr. Speaker, I rise today along with my colleague, Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, to recognize and celebrate the honorees of the 42nd Annual Dr. Nan S. Hutchison Broward Senior Hall of Fame, an esteemed tradition made possible through the tireless efforts of the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County, an organization committed to improving the lives of older adults throughout our community. The Area Agency on Aging of Broward County is part of a statewide network of 11 Area Agencies on Aging serving 67 counties across Florida. These agencies are tasked with coordinating a wide array of programs and services designed to help seniors live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes and communities. From meal delivery and transportation assistance to caregiver support and health education, the Agency plays a pivotal role in addressing the needs of our aging population. Each year, the Broward Senior Hall of Fame honors exemplary residents aged 60 and older who have selflessly dedicated five or more years to volunteer service in Broward County. These individuals embody the spirit of civic engagement and community service that strengthens the social fabric of our region. I include in the Record the names of this year's distinguished honorees: The Honorable Mikkie Belvedere, Michael Brodie, Mayor Angelo Castillo, the Honorable Roy Gold, Deacon Lorna Goodison, the Honorable Bob Mayersohn, Dr. Rudy Moise, Rosalind ``Roz'' Perlmutter, Silvia Quintana, and Barry Solomon. Their contributions have had a lasting impact on the community, from mentoring young people and supporting local nonprofits to expanding access to healthcare and standing up for vulnerable residents. Their dedication is both admirable and truly inspiring. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Charlotte Mather-Taylor, CEO of the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County, for her outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to serving the community. Through her vision and dedication, the Agency has continued to strengthen its impact and ensure that seniors throughout Broward County receive the care, support, and recognition they deserve. Mr. Speaker, on behalf of Florida's 23rd and 25th Congressional Districts, we ask our colleagues to join us in congratulating these outstanding individuals for their extraordinary volunteerism and in recognizing the indispensable role the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County plays in supporting, celebrating, and advocating for our senior community. ____________________”

“Mr. MOSKOWITZ. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to celebrate and congratulate an exemplary visionary in my district: Dan Lindblade, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. I proudly recognize his most recent accolade of being named the 2026 Downtowner of the Year by the Chamber's Downtown Council and the Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority. I also recognize and celebrate his retirement, effective June 1, 2026, following decades of distinguished leadership and service to the Fort Lauderdale community. With nearly two decades of leadership at the helm of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber, Dan Lindblade is a titan of the industry. By advocating for local businesses, fostering economic growth, and protecting the interests of the business community, Dan has become a central catalyst for the city's economic expansion. Dan's strategic capabilities have equipped local enterprises with the tools needed to navigate both opportunities and challenges within the business environment. His transformative leadership is evidenced by numerous projects and strategic initiatives centered on advancing pro- business policies, empowering small businesses, and solidifying Greater Fort Lauderdale's reputation as a thriving hub for investment, innovation, and tourism. Beyond his formal role at the Chamber of Commerce, Dan's enthusiasm and steadfast advocacy have fostered a culture of growth and vitality across the Greater Fort Lauderdale community. His efforts serve as a testament to his vision for a stronger and more prosperous Fort Lauderdale, both within the Chamber and throughout the broader community. Through his stewardship, collaboration, and commitment to civic engagement, Dan has bridged gaps across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, exemplifying a spirit of partnership and unity. His extensive experience in community relations, management, professionalism, and leadership development represents only a fraction of the qualities that make him deserving of this distinguished honor. Mr. Speaker, please join me in celebrating Dan Lindblade as the recipient of the 2026 Downtowner of the Year award. His dedicated service and lasting contributions to the Chamber, the business community, and the Greater Fort Lauderdale area are deeply valued and greatly appreciated. ____________________”
