“Mr. KELLY of Pennsylvania. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize and honor Phil and Laurie Davis for their extraordinary service to the veteran community of Crawford County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Phil Davis proudly served in the United States Army from January 21, 1970, to December 3, 1971. He deployed to Vietnam from January to October 1971, serving his country during one of the most challenging periods in our Nation's history. On November 28, 1988, the Veterans of the Vietnam War, Post 52 was established in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Phil was among the founding members who helped launch the post and shape its mission of supporting veterans in need. When the National Organization later went bankrupt and closed, Post 52 refused to let its mission end. In 2019, the post reorganized, completed all necessary work to become an independent 501(c)(19) organization, and expanded membership eligibility to veterans of all eras, ensuring that no veteran seeking help would be turned away. This decision dramatically increased the number of veterans they have been able to serve. It was at Post 52 that Phil and Laurie met, forming a partnership rooted in service and compassion. They were married in 1995, and together they have dedicated decades to supporting their fellow veterans. Phil has served as Commander of Post 52 many times over the years, and has held the position continuously since 2020. Laurie has long served as the Quartermaster, ensuring that the post remains organized, responsive, and financially sound. Their leadership has been essential to sustaining the post's mission and expanding its impact. Phil and Laurie's commitment goes far beyond titles. They provide Walmart gift cards and gas cards to the Crawford County Veterans Service office so that any veteran who walks in without food, resources, or fuel can receive immediate assistance. Their generosity has provided critical support to veterans in crisis and has exemplified the values of honor, service, and community. [[Page E1109]] Phil and Laurie Davis represent the very best of what it means to serve. Their decades of dedication have strengthened our community and improved the lives of countless veterans and their families. It is my honor to extend deep appreciation and recognition for their unwavering commitment to those who have worn our Nation's uniform. ____________________”

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor and recognize the outstanding service, leadership, and unwavering dedication of Ms. Christine Krzysiak, who has served as the Crawford County Treasurer and Director of the Crawford County Tax Claim Bureau. In addition to these positions, Ms. Krzysiak has also served as the appointed Tax Collector for current county real estate taxes for the City of Titusville--duties she has carried out with professionalism and integrity. Her extensive knowledge, attention to detail, and tireless work ethic have not only ensured the responsible management of county finances but have also earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues, local officials, and community members alike. “Mr. KELLY of Pennsylvania. Mr. Speaker, I rise to recognize Mercer County Pennsylvania as they commemorate their 225th Anniversary. It is with immense pride that we acknowledge 225 years of history, community, and resilience. This milestone is not simply a measure of time, but a testament to the unwavering determination, grit, and ingenuity of the individuals who have molded this county into the exceptional place it is today. From its founding in 1800, Mercer County has stood as a pillar of strength and community. What began as a frontier settlement has grown into a thriving region rich in culture, industry, and opportunity. Over the centuries, this county has been home to hardworking farmers, entrepreneurs, educators, and service members--all of whom have played a role in shaping its legacy. We remember the early settlers who shaped life in this land, facing hardships with unwavering determination. We honor the industries that have driven our economy forward, from steel and manufacturing to agriculture and small businesses. We celebrate our schools, where generations of students have been educated and prepared for bright futures. And we take pride in our local traditions, events, and landmarks that make Mercer County a place like no other. To the families who have lived here for generations, and to those who have chosen to make Mercer County their home more recently, I thank them for being part of this incredible journey. Their dedication, kindness, and commitment to this community are what make it truly special. So, as we celebrate this historic anniversary, let us not only honor our past but also embrace the opportunities ahead. Let us work together to ensure that Mercer County continues to be a place of growth, unity, and prosperity for generations to come. ____________________”
